What do the acronyms in this website stand for?

The MPUCA stands for the Military Police Unarmed Combat Association.  MPH2HCP stands for the Military Police Hand to Hand Combat Program.  USD stands for Unarmed Self Defense.  MACP stand for Modern Army Combatives Program and MP stands for Military Police.

What is the Military Police Unarmed Combat Association?

The MPUCA is a group of Military Police Unarmed Combat Trainers and Soldiers dedicated to improving the United States Army Military Police Corps Regiment by providing an online, unarmed combat resource for self study and for USD trainers to share ideas.  We are not officially endorsed by the Military Police School or the United States Army.

What are the USD techniques taught at the MP School?

Military Police are taught techniques from level one of the Modern Army Combatives Program and all Unarmed Self Defense Techniques in the Soldier’s Manual for Common Tasks, Skill Level One, Military Police.  You can find all those techniques on this website.

What sources  were used for the MP USD Training Package?

Please see the references at the bottom of the main page of the MP USD Lessons for a complete listing of all sources.

Why are you teaching techniques that the MP School does not?

We are providing these techniques to the public because the MPUCA does not have to worry about liability issues that civilian police departments and the Department of the Army have to worry about (because you use the techniques at your own risk).  In addition, training time is limited at the Military Police School so they only quickly cover the basics of USD.  It then falls upon the individual Soldier and their unit to increase their knowledge of unarmed combat after graduating from Military Police School.

Why isn’t the USD Lessons geared for all law enforcement?

All law enforcement can benefit from these programs.  The United States Army Military Police have different levels of force than most civilian police departments.  The Military Police, according to their use of force (when working law enforcement), are required to try and fail at “Unarmed Self Defense” before moving on to other uses of force like Pepper Spray, MP Club, K-9, etc.  Civilian police are not.  That means Military Police MUST use hand to hand combat to make an apprehension BEFORE pepper spray, etc.  Most civilian police departments are authorized to use the baton, presentation of deadly force, etc., BEFORE hand to hand combat.

Where did you get the information in this website?

Most of the written resources in the MPUCA site (like the MP USD Lessons) were donated to us.  If you have something you think would benefit the MPUCA community, please contact us and we might be able to use your information, links, techniques, etc.

Can I be awarded any belts by the MPUCA?

The MPUCA does not issue belts or certificates for online study.

Does the MPUCA offer memberships?

The MPUCA does not issue memberships.  It is an organization dedicated to improving the USD skills of Military Police.

If I order items from the Online Store, are the transactions secure?

Yes!  The MPUCA Online Store and items are simply links to AMAZON TARGET and CREATESPACE.  The items are sold securely on their websites.  The MPUCA never has access to any purchase information.  You are actually purchasing the items from their websites, not ours.

How do I make a bulk order of your DVD and/or book?

You may order bulk quantities of any MPUCA production for resale or distribution at greatly reduced prices.  Contact us for prices on bulk orders.

Why does your site have things like Cyber Squire, Amber Alerts, etc.?

The MPUCA is concerned not only with Soldiers, but with their families as well.  We provided the links here as an additional resource for Soldiers and their families.  The MPUCA is not associated with these organizations.  We simply provided links to their sites as a resource.

Are online donation monetary transactions secure?

The actual monetary transaction when you donate money to the MPUCA is via the PAYPAL web portal.  The MPUCA never has access to your personal (i.e. credit card number) payment information.

Some of your graphics/words are not properly spaced on my computer.

They are spaced for the majority of computers using Internet Explorer.  Please adjust your browser or monitor settings or view with a different operating system.

I received a spam e-mail that looked like the MPUCA sent it.  Did you?

No.  Our e-mail address (like millions of other legitimate addresses) is being used without our permission.  Those e-mails did not originate from our server nor are they associated with the MPUCA in any way.

What if I have more questions?

If you have any other questions that are not answered here, please contact us and we will answer your questions as soon and as best as we can.
